Egypt's youth competitions top scorer Sherif Ashraf accused Ahli of forging preliminary contracts to block his move to arch-rivals Zamalek. Zamalek signed Ashraf on a four-year contract as a free agent after his contract expired with Ahli. But the Reds registered the 20-year-old striker in their youth ranks, claiming that he has already signed a new preliminary contract with the club. “My contract with Ahli ran out in April and I didn't sign any new papers since then,” Ashraf told FilGoal.com. “I had the right to move to any club on a free transfer since the ninth of July, a month after the season end. “I am sure that the Egyptian FA will rule in favor of me and I will be playing with Zamalek soon.” Ashraf refused to renew his contract with Ahli in April, when he was seeking a move to Europe. But after failing to join the Belgium League and the decision of Ahli manager Manuel Jose to drop him from the first team squad, he opted to play for Zamalek.
