Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi reaffirmed on Sunday the nation's deep respect and appreciation for the sacrifices of its fallen heroes and those injured in military, terrorist, and security operations, acknowledging the high price they paid for Egypt's security and prosperity. During a meeting with Major General El Sayed El Ghaly, Chairman of the Board of the Fund for Honouring Martyrs and Victims of War, Terrorism, and Security Operations, and the fund's Executive Director Major General Ahmed El Ashaal, President Sisi reviewed the latest activities of the fund. Discussions focused on the services provided to the families of those killed, injured, or missing due to war and terrorism, in coordination with relevant state institutions. The president was also briefed on upcoming initiatives. He stressed the importance of enhancing the fund's services, expanding its resources, and upgrading its management mechanisms to better meet the needs of beneficiaries. Sisi approved the launch of a new initiative, "Egypt Is With You", which targets the underage children of martyrs and victims from the Armed Forces, police, and civilians. The initiative will invest dedicated funds to ensure high returns for these children when they reach legal adulthood, in cooperation with the Central Bank of Egypt, the Sovereign Fund of Egypt, and Misr Life Insurance. The president also approved the inclusion of additional categories under the fund's umbrella, including officers and other ranks from the Armed Forces who were martyred or injured in special operations, as well as civilian martyrs involved in previous war efforts. He stressed that Egypt will never forget the sacrifices of its loyal sons and that they will continue to receive the honour and recognition they deserve. According to the presidential spokesperson, Sisi also instructed the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to determine appropriate exemptions and discounts for fund beneficiaries across public, private, national universities, and private higher institutes, along with the mechanisms for implementation.
