Egypt will host three open amateur golf championships in October at the Dreamland and New Giza golf courses, with the participation of a selection of top players, the Egyptian Golf Federation has announced. The first tournament is the 2025 Egyptian Men's Amateur Open Golf Championship, one of the oldest and most prestigious tournaments in the Middle East and Africa. The 104th edition of the tournament will be held from Oct. 16-18 at the Dreamland Golf Club in Cairo. "Hosting the 2025 Egyptian Men's Amateur Open Golf Championship at Dreamland Golf Club reflects our vision to make golf a more accessible, inclusive, and globally recognised sport," said Omar Hisham Talaat, president of the Egyptian Golf Federation. The second tournament is the 2025 Egyptian Amateur Open Golf Championship for Juniors and Ladies, which will be held at the New Giza Golf Club from Oct. 23-25. "This championship shows our commitment to developing golf in Egypt at all levels," Talaat said. "Its importance is not limited to supporting the sport locally, but also extends to promoting Egypt internationally as a leading tourist and sports destination." The tournaments are part of the Egyptian Golf Federation's strategy to support and develop the sport and to promote sports tourism in Egypt.
