Egypt has received widespread praise from Arab nations for its organisation of the 2025 Pan Arab Golf Championship for Juniors and Ladies, held this month with broad participation from 12 Arab countries.
Participants and golf enthusiasts commended Egypt for the level of organisation, the quality of the host clubs and courses at Madinaty and Katameya Dunes, and the diverse entertainment activities held alongside the major tournament. The event was organised by the Egyptian Golf Federation, chaired by Omar Hisham Talaat Moustafa, in cooperation with the Arab Golf Federation.
The championship commenced on Wednesday, 7 May, with a grand opening attended by Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports. Sobhy affirmed that hosting the tournament aligns with the state's vision to support sports and expand youth participation, particularly in specialised sports like golf. Omar Hisham Talaat Moustafa, President of the Egyptian Golf Federation, also participated in the opening, noting that the championship represents an important platform for discovering promising talents across the Arab world. He added, "We seek to host international tournaments to restore Egypt's leadership in the sport of golf."
Throughout the championship, players competed for titles at the Pan Arab Golf Championship for Juniors and Ladies on the courses of Madinaty and Katameya Dunes. This year's edition was also distinguished by the organisation of various entertainment events, such as a golf festival, which attracted hundreds of young people to promote the sport and expand its player base.
Participating players praised the excellent organisation of the current Pan Arab Golf Championship for Juniors and Ladies, highlighting the preparations made to ensure a competitive atmosphere and facilitate top performances. They also commended the standard of the courses and the availability of necessary facilities, in addition to the inclusion of entertainment activities for the first time at the championship level.
