Egypt's Cabinet approved Wednesday a presidential decree to reallocate land and buildings at the Nasser Institute on Shubra Corniche to the Ministry of Health, paving the way for the institute's transformation into a world-class integrated medical and research centre. The project aims to turn the Nasser Institute for Research and Treatment into a comprehensive facility offering multiple medical specialties, combining advanced research and patient care under one roof. Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said the approval reflects the government's broader strategy to expand and modernise public hospitals, improve healthcare quality, and increase the sector's overall capacity. The initiative is aligned with Egypt's sustainable development goals, which call for new hospital construction, upgrades to existing facilities, and enhanced healthcare infrastructure.
