Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Tuesday at Al Ittihadiya Palace, Cairo. The two leaders held a closed meeting, followed by an expanded session attended by senior officials from both sides. They discussed ways to enhance the historic bilateral relations, agreeing to further strengthen political, trade and investment ties in the interests of both peoples. Sisi and Museveni witnessed the signing of several memoranda of understanding covering technical cooperation in water resources management, agricultural and food cooperation, investment, reciprocal visa exemption for holders of official passports, and diplomatic cooperation to support the establishment of a Ugandan diplomatic institute.
