Egypt has welcomed the statement issued on July 21, 2025, by the foreign ministers of 25 countries regarding the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, which included a clear call to end the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and condemned Israel's actions in Gaza, including obstructing the delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians. In a statement, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry expressed full support for the position of the countries that signed the statement, particularly their rejection of a proposal to relocate Palestinians to a so-called "humanitarian city" and their firm stance against the displacement of Palestinians, describing it as a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law. Egypt also welcomed the statement's rejection of Israeli settlement expansion in the West Bank and the violence committed by Israeli settlers. Cairo reaffirmed its ongoing efforts, in partnership with Qatar and the United States, to reach a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip. It stressed the need for the international community to take further practical steps to implement the two-state solution and establish an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital — including through recognition of the Palestinian state and support for a clear and effective political path to achieve lasting peace in the Middle East.
