Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) Chairman Ali El-Ghamrawy has held a meeting with Indian Ambassador to Egypt Suresh Reddy to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector. Talks covered joint manufacturing, regulatory and technical expertise exchange, and new mechanisms for drug registration, alongside expanding collaboration in research and training. El-Ghamrawy said the partnership would enhance the efficiency of Egypt's pharmaceutical system, reinforce its position as a regional hub for drug exports to Arab and African markets, and open the door for long-term strategic cooperation. He added that Egypt was ready to expand the partnership to include new areas of pharmaceutical investment, research and biotechnology, citing India's expertise as a key asset in boosting Egypt's drug self-sufficiency and global competitiveness.
