Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) Chairman Ali El-Ghamrawy met with a joint delegation from Egypt's Wadi El Nile Company and Zambia's Pendulum Estates Ltd to discuss steps to establish a joint pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Zambia. The meeting comes as part of EDA's strategic role in supporting Egypt's efforts to expand into African markets and strengthen international partnerships in the pharmaceutical sector. "This marks a concrete step towards realising Egypt's vision for deeper industrial integration with African nations. It aims to transfer expertise and technology to boost local and regional pharmaceutical production, encourage joint investment in the sector, and facilitate regulatory cooperation across the continent," EDA said in a statement. The initiative will enhance Egypt's position as a regional hub for pharmaceutical industries and support efforts to achieve medicine security across Africa.
