Egypt's Holding Company for Food Industries (HCFI) and e& Egypt signed on Monday a cooperation protocol to modernise the Carry On consumer complexes. The protocol, signed on Monday, will introduce integrated digital and technological solutions across the outlets, transforming them into modern branches equipped with the latest communication and digital systems. Under the protocol, e& Egypt will supply telecommunications and internet services, cloud computing and digital transformation solutions, electronic payment systems, tracking services, surveillance cameras, and digital infrastructure support to ensure operational efficiency and sustainable services. The initiative also includes the rollout of e& money services, SuperPay machines, and an integrated loyalty points system, enhancing financial inclusion and encouraging citizens to use the developed outlets, similar to major retail chains. Minister of Supply, Sherif Farouk, highlighted that the protocol reflects the ministry's focus on leveraging modern technological solutions and building partnerships with leading specialised companies, integrating the supply system with the state's digital infrastructure. He added that the Carry On project represents an advanced model of subsidised outlets, enhancing service quality, citizen trust, and the presentation of goods. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English
