Published in Daily News Egypt on 30 - 04 - 2025

A "Golf Festival" will be held alongside the 2025 Pan Arab Golf Championship for Juniors and Ladies in Cairo from May 7th to 10th, marking the 50th anniversary of the Arab Golf Federation, the organisers announced.
The Arab Golf Federation and the Egyptian Golf Federation stated the Golf festival is part of the celebrations for the AGF's founding anniversary.
The championship itself, taking place from May 7th to 10th, will feature competitions in six categories. Over 110 players from 12 nations – Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, and host nation Egypt – are confirmed to participate.
Tournament activities will be split between two venues. The opening ceremony is scheduled for May 7th at Madinaty Golf Club. Official competition rounds will be held on May 8th and 9th at Katameya Dunes Golf Club. The event concludes with the closing ceremony and prize distribution on May 10th, returning to Madinaty Golf Club.
Running alongside the main competition, the "Golf Festival" aims to attract the public and increase community engagement with golf. It will be hosted at Madinaty Golf Club on Thursday, May 8th (10:30 AM – 6:00 PM), Friday, May 9th (10:30 AM – 6:00 PM), and Saturday, May 10th (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
Festival attractions include performances by The Trick Shot Boys, known for artistic golf exhibitions, and the presence of international golf education expert Nick Horrocks, who focuses on developing golf teaching programmes. Entertainment activities, prize giveaways, and food and beverage options will also be available, the organisers said.

The Pan Arab Golf Championship for Juniors and Ladies in Egypt serves as the inaugural event of the newly established Arab Golf Series (AGS). According to the organisers, the AGS provides a unified tournament schedule for the region with an official, independent ranking system. This structure is intended to offer Arab golfers a clear progression path by earning ranking points, which can then be used to qualify for professional tournaments. The series aims to enhance competition and support the discovery and development of emerging golf talent in the Arab world.
