Egypt, Huawei explore healthcare digital transformation cooperation

Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar has held a meeting with Huawei Global Chairman Benjamin Hu to discuss expanding cooperation in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation in the healthcare sector.
Talks reviewed the status of ongoing joint projects in smart solutions and digital healthcare transformation and explored a proposal to introduce specialised AI training programmes in schools in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, under the presidential human development initiative "A New Beginning to Build the Human".
The programme aims to equip young talent with innovative skills aligned with Egypt's Vision 2030.
Huawei invited Abdel Ghaffar to attend the Huawei Connect conference in China from 18 to 20 September 2025, expressing its commitment to strengthening partnerships with Egypt across multiple sectors and supporting national efforts in digital transformation and capacity-building for sustainable development.
