Veteran striker Raul said he could not believe that he played his 711th game with Real Madrid. The Real skipper broke the club's all-time appearance record in style, scoring twice to help them claim a 4-2 victory over Real Valladolid in the Primera Liga on Saturday. "I never thought I would accomplish this," Raul said on Real's official website on Sunday. "I am about to celebrate the 15th anniversary of my debut and it was impossible to think that this would happen. I am very happy and eager to help my teammates and club." Raul, a one-club man, has won a host of titles with Real including six league and three Champions League titles since being promoted to the senior team in 1994. He is also the club's all-time top scorer with 320 goals.
