Real Madrid captain Raul Gonzalez said that 'ice baths and sleeping in high altitude' help him develop his physical condition, which resulted in his impressive start to the season. The 30-year-old forward is currently top scorer in the Primera Liga with eight goals, one more than his tally for the whole of last season. Spanish media reported that Raul could bath in ice for 10 minutes, and that he converted his bedroom into a hypoxic high-altitude chamber, which the Spain skipper acknowledged. "I've done it because of the love I have for this team and this club, and I have never thought about how it could hurt me," Raul told reporters. "I get a kick out of this, if you look after yourself and eat and rest properly, it all adds up." Raul has been accused of being out of form during the past couple of years, but the Spain all-time leading goal scorer's new approach seems to be working this season.
