Raul Gonzalez tied Real Madrid's all-time goalscoring record to help Los Merengues to a 2-0 Primera Liga victory at Numancia. The veteran striker hit the opener two minutes after the break, marking his 307th goal for Real to level with Alfredo di Stefano. Arjen Robben added the second as the Madridistas wrapped up their sixth successive victory to keep the pressure on leaders Barcelona. Real reached 44 points, nine adrift of Barca, who will visit Racing Santander on Sunday. Crucial Commenting on Raul's historic feat, Real coach Juande Ramos praised the 31-year-old forward as he highlighted the significance of the goal. "Di Stefano was one of the greatest players there has been so to equal his goal-scoring record says everything," Ramos said after the game. "He brings a lot to the team and scored the first goal tonight which was crucial to helping us to win the game." Raul made his debut for Real in October 1994 and has been a prominent figure for the Royal club ever since. The goal-scoring ace also holds a record of 64 UEFA Champions League goals, which makes him the competition's all-time goal-getter. He is also Spain's top scorer of all-time with 44 goals.
