Egypt has delivered more than 533,000 tons of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, and sent a fresh convoy of food supplies this week, Social Solidarity Minister Maya Morsy said Tuesday. During a high-level meeting with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, Minister Morsy said Egypt has maintained a continuous flow of assistance to Gaza without interruption since the war erupted, coordinating efforts through the Egyptian Red Crescent as the country's official aid delivery mechanism. The latest convoy, "Zad Al-Ezzah ... From Egypt to Gaza," was launched on Sunday and comprises more than 100 trucks carrying over 1,200 tons of food, bound for southern Gaza via the Kerem Shalom crossing. Egypt has also established two customs warehouses and logistics centres to store and manage humanitarian supplies for the Strip, the minister added. The aid effort covers deliveries to camps, community kitchens and other facilities across Gaza. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English
