The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) could ask for a legal advice from FIFA concerning Ahli's request to register Hosni Abd-Rabou in their squad for the upcoming season, a source inside the EFA said on Sunday. "The players' committee will give its recommendation on Tuesday but the board may take the case to FIFA again before taking a final decision," the source told FilGoal.com. "Ahli made their request based on the contract signed with Abd-Rabou a year ago. The player legally belongs to Ismaili and if they want to sell him to Ahli Dubai we will deliver his ITC," added the source. Abd-Rabou's saga seemed coming to an end as the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) gave its ruling in favor of Strasbourg as Ismaili failed to pay the money in time. Ahli have already signed the player in July 2007 and the switch should have been completed automatically. But surprisingly the Dervishes reached a compromise with the French side to keep their influential midfielder worth 300 000 euros additionally to the 500 000 euros paid last year. Ismaili have just accepted an offer from Ahli Dubai to sell Abd-Rabou worth 2million euros and Ahli threatened to go to FIFA if such move occurs.
