The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) ended Hosni Abd-Rabou's saga on Saturday after giving Ismaili the green light to register the international midfielder in their squad. FIFA rejected earlier on the same day a request from The French Football Association to register Abd-Rabou in their squad but didn't elaborate whether Ismaili can register the international midfielder or not. But the EFA decided after an emergency meeting that FIFA's refusal means that Ismaili are entitled to register the player, especially as they already have his transfer license. Abd-Rabou played for Ismaili last season on loan from Strasbourg, with an option of a permanent move should Ismaili pay 500,000 Euros before June 15th. Ismaili said they paid the fees on time but Strasbourg deny the claim, and they have already agreed deal with Egyptian champions Ahli to sell them the player's contract. But Abd-Rabou wrote a letter to FIFA revealing that he is keen on staying with Ismaili. Abd-Rabou said after the ruling that the last period was like a nightmare. “I am very delighted with FIFA's decsioin. I will be heading to Paris (with the Egyptian team) with high morale.” Egypt play Ivory Coast in an international friendly on Wednesday in France.
