CAIRO: The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) could ask for a legal advice from FIFA concerning Ahly s request to register Hosni Abd-Rabou in their squad for the upcoming season, an EFA source told Filgoal on Sunday. The players committee will give its recommendation on Tuesday but the board may take the case to FIFA again before taking a final decision, the source said. Ahly made their request based on the contract signed with Abd-Rabou a year ago. The player legally belongs to Ismaili and if they want to sell him to Ahly Dubai, we will deliver his ITC, added the source. Abd-Rabou s saga seemed coming to an end as the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) gave its ruling in favor of Strasbourg as Ismaili failed to pay the money in time. Ahly have already signed the player in July 2007 and the switch should have been completed automatically. But surprisingly the Dervishes reached a compromise with the French side to keep their influential midfielder in exchange of ? 300,000, in addition to the ? 500,000 paid last year. Ismaili have just accepted an offer from Ahly Dubai to sell Abd-Rabou for ?2 million and Egypt's Ahly threatened to take the dispute to FIFA if such Ismaili went through with such transfer.
