Ajax Amsterdam have signed Tottenham midfielder Edgar Davids on an 18-month deal for an undisclosed fee, the Dutch giants announced on Tuesday. The 33-year old opted for a move to his former side in search for regular football after his first-team chances at White Hart Lane have become very limited this season. The arrival of Didier Zokora and Hossam Ghaly as well as Tom Huddlestone's impressive displays moved Davids further down the pecking order. Davids had a shiny start to his early Ajax career winning three Eredivisie titles, the UEFA Cup and the 1995 UEFA Champions League title. He then had spells with Italian giants AC Milan, Juventus and Inter Milan as well as Spain's Barcelona. Davids is expected to make his Ajax debut in Saturday's Eredivisie clash with rivals Feyenoord.
