Tottenham striker Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' said that Portsmouth's Sol Campbell is the easiest defender he has ever played against. The Egyptian international comments came ahead of Spurs' Premiership clash against Portsmouth on Sunday. Former Tottenham and Arsenal defender Sol Campbell joined Pompey in the summer and soon became a regular starter. "They have Sol Campbell at the back and he is the easiest defender I have ever played against. I'm not scared of him," Mido was quoted as saying by the Evening Standard newspaper on Friday.
Campbell Mido is yet to open his account since he joined Tottenham from AS Roma in the off-season, but the former Ajax and Marseille said he needs time to end the goal-drought. "I came back to Tottenham because I know I can score goals, but I have only been here for four games," he said. The 23-year-old missed a golden opportunity in Tottenham's 1-0 win over Czech Republic side Slavia Prague, the victory that lifted them to the UEFA Cup group stage. "I tried to score against Slavia and I am very disappointed to miss such a good chance. But I have so much confidence in myself and I don't have any doubts."
