Mido's comments disrespectful, fumes Jol
Published in FilGoal on 30 - 09 - 2006

Tottenham manager Martin Jol slammed Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' on Saturday for his comments about Portsmouth center-back Sol Campbell ahead of their Premiership clash on Sunday.
The Egyptian international striker told reporters on Friday that Campbell was one of the easiest defenders he has ever played against.
"Given the feelings that still run high about Sol among our supporters," Jol was quoted as saying by Tottenham's official website.
"Mido's comments were not only disrespectful, they were also irresponsible."
England's veteran defender Campbell is expected to receive hostile reception at the White Hart Lane, as always happens since his move from the Spurs to arch-rivals Arsenal in 2001.

The 32-year-old left the Gunners in the summer and decided to join Portsmouth, where he has been regular since the starting of the season.
He helped Pompey to keep clean sheet five times in their six league games so far.
Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp also criticized Mido but said the "insult" will only motivate his player's on Sunday.
"Those comments will embarrass every footballer in the game as we don't talk like that about fellow pros," he was quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
"One thing is for certain, I won't have to say too much to my lads in the dressing room at Tottenham. I'll just stick a newspaper cutting up on the wall and that will do for me."

Mido's comments were not only disrespectful, they were also irresponsible,
Martin Jol
Redknapp said that Jol is probably ashamed of what his Egyptian striker has said.
"I'm sure his manager at Tottenham will also be embarrassed when he reads those remarks as it shows Mido has no real feeling for the game over here."
Jol responded by urging Mido to discipline his remarks over opponents and focus on football instead of making statements.
"I have spoken to Mido and he is well aware that this is not the kind of comment you make about a fellow player," the Dutchman said.
"I have told him to let his football do the talking in the future."
