Ahmed Hassan will miss Zamalek's league clash against Police Union at the weekend, according to the club's official website. The Whites said a day ago that the veteran midfielder could be available for Saturday's fixture after recuperating from a calf injury and resuming full training. Hassan, however, could now be forced to spend another spell on the sidelines, having last featured against Shakhtar in the friendly Matchworld Cup nearly three weeks ago. "Ahmed Hassan will not play against Police Union despite taking part in Monday's training session," Zamalek doctor Mostafa Al-Monayeri told the club's website. Midfielder Islam Awad is also out as Zamalek could face another problem in defense with full-back Ahmed Samir and center-half Salah Soliman doubtful. Zamalek won their Egyptian Premier League opener against Ittihad 2-0 last weekend.
