TE displays its potential as 1st integrated operator for telecommunications services
The company conducted an experiment using 4G services at Cairo ICT
Published in Daily News Egypt on 28 - 11 - 2016

Telecom Egypt (TE) conducted a mobile experience for the company's new SIM card with 4G technology through which visitors to the exhibition could experience the new, faster services for themselves. This experiment allowed customers to see the efficiency of 4G services and enjoy a distinctive experience in speedy data transfer.
Visitors to the exhibition were amazed by the speed and high quality of these services, demonstrating TE's ability to make a great leap in telecommunications services based on its latest network that stretches for thousands of kilometres across Egypt.
Smart cities are models for the future, owing to their technical development for solving essential problems to achieve sustainability, improve citizens' lives, and support economic growth. Smart cities mainly depend on infrastructure for telecommunications and information technology—one of the most important elements of TE's excellence.
The company launched its first mobile-phone application for customers to download and experience free high-speed internet inside its booth at the exhibition. The application was used later to find places and points of service with TE's WiFi service.
TE also launched the pilot phase of its Ma'ak (With You) application for customers who are deaf or have impaired hearing. Ma'ak aims to support these customers with disabilities through communicating via video calls and using sign language to inquire about all updates and offers.
Building on this initiative, the company has also updated its branches to serve its special needs customers, through providing private sign language training programmes, to train representatives to deal with deaf and hearing-impaired customers.
TE displayed many fibre-optic technology services offered to its individuals and businesses; this service is expected to see great developments as soon as the company obtains the 4G frequencies. In terms of individual customers, TE introduced the Triple Play service which provides the customer with online interactive television services with high-quality sound, picture, video, and voice communication, as well as interactive advertising services.
The company displayed its Hesaby (My Account) service which enables customers to manage their account online.
TE is providing its latest Mega Plus internet bundles to new customers, which offer higher speeds and greater capacities. It includes five different bundles at speeds starting from 1 mega and a download capacity of 100 GB, while the other packages provide customers with the highest fixed line speed up to 16 mega. The perfect bundle can be chosen according to each customer's usage. Clients can enjoy watching movies and series through the Shahid Plus library, and obtain a free router when they subscribe to one of those packages.
As for enterprises and companies, TE provides a number of new services in the field of cloud computing for easy control and management of applications, such as human resources management, fixed asset management, library management, and other management services through cloud computing. The company also provides its services to enterprises and companies that require remote online monitoring.
The 4G services launch will create a boom in data services, applications, and electronic solutions. TE signed a cooperation agreement to support e-learning applications. The operator aspires to serve users so that they can truly benefit from this technological transformation.
