Most Asia-Pacific markets saw gains on Monday following the decision by the People's Bank of China to keep its 1-year and 5-year loan prime rates unchanged. The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong increased by 0.68 per cent to close at 24,994.14, and the CSI 300 index in mainland China rose by 0.67per cent to 4,085.61. In South Korea, the Kospi index went up by 0.71 per cent to close at 3,210.81, while the Kosdaq increased by 0.12 per cent to 821.69. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 benchmark dropped by 1.02 per cent to finish the day at 8,668.20.
