Asia-Pacific markets mostly rose on Thursday following a US federal trade court ruling that President Donald Trump overstepped his authority with his "reciprocal" tariffs, undermining a key aspect of his economic agenda. South Korea's Kospi increased by 1.89 per cent to close at 2,720.64, and the small-cap Kosdaq rose by 1.03 per cent to 736.29. Japan's Nikkei 225 index increased by 1.88 per cent to close at 38,432.98, and the Topix rose by 1.53 per cent to 2,812.02. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 index slightly rose by 0.15 per cent to end the day at 8,409.8. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index went up by 1.06 per cent, and mainland China's CSI 300 index was 0.6 per cent higher in the final hour of trading.
