Jordan's Foreign Ministry on Wednesday condemned remarks by the Israeli prime minister expressing support for what he called the 'Greater Israel' vision, rejecting them as a dangerous and provocative escalation, a threat to the sovereignty of states, and a violation of international law and the UN Charter. Foreign Ministry spokesman Ambassador Sufyan Qudah stressed Jordan's absolute rejection of such inflammatory statements, saying these "futile illusions" from Israeli officials will not affect Jordan, Arab states, or the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people. He said they reflect the Israeli government's troubled position and growing international isolation amid its ongoing attacks on Gaza and the occupied West Bank. Qudah said such claims and illusions promoted by Israeli government extremists fuel cycles of violence and conflict, requiring a clear international position condemning them and warning of their grave consequences for the region's security and stability, and holding those behind them accountable.
