Egypt on Wednesday condemned repeated Israeli attacks on Lebanese and Syrian territories, describing them as blatant violations of the sovereignty of two brotherly Arab nations and breaches of international law and relevant UN resolutions. In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, Egypt stressed the critical importance of respecting the sovereignty of both Lebanon and Syria, rejecting any interference in their internal affairs. It reaffirmed the need to preserve the unity and territorial integrity of the two countries. The statement warned that Israel's continued violations risk further fuelling tensions and constitute a major source of instability in both countries and the wider region. It comes at a sensitive moment marked by intensive regional and international efforts, in which Egypt is actively engaged, to de-escalate and support regional security and stability.
