Egypt has expressed deep concern over the recent developments in Iran. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt condemned the rapid escalation, warning of its grave consequences for regional and international peace and security. Cairo reiterated its rejection of any violations of the UN Charter and international law, stressing the importance of respecting the sovereignty of states. Egypt once again warned against the dangers of the region sliding into further chaos and tension. It affirmed that political solutions and diplomatic negotiations — not military action — are the only way to resolve the crisis and reach a lasting settlement. The statement also renewed Egypt's call for de-escalation, restraint, and prioritising dialogue, in order to protect civilian lives and safeguard regional stability and security.
