Asia-Pacific markets increased on Monday as investors evaluated the growing tensions between Israel and Iran and analysed a range of data from China. Mainland China's CSI 300 index rose by 0.19 per cent in the final hour of trading, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index increased by 0.43 per cent in volatile trading. Japan's Nikkei 225 index climbed by 1.26 per cent to close at 38,311.33, and the broader Topix index rose by 0.75 per cent to 2,777.13. In South Korea, the Kospi index surged by 1.8 per cent to end at 2,946.66, and the Kosdaq small-cap index increased by 1.09 per cent to 777.26. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 ended the day unchanged at 8,548.40. In India, the Nifty 50 index rose by 0.72 per cent, while the BSE Sensex index was up by 0.65 per cent.
