Egyptian Minister of Interior Magdy Abdel Ghafar met with the family of murdered taxi driver by police sergeant, pledging to punish the assailant firmly, al-Masry al-Youm reported Monday. Interior minister expressed his condolences to the grieved father, Ali Sayed Ismail, affirming his objection to such individual crimes that distort the reputation of devoted cops, asserting that he will held accountability to the murderer. A taxi driver was murdered at the hands of a policeman, after he shot him in the head, in al-Darb al-Ahmar district, Cairo governorate, on Thursday evening.
