Member of Free Egyptians Party (FEP), Mohamed Al Bili demanded Saturday that policeman who shot a taxi driver in Al-Darb Al-Ahmar district, Cairo, to be held accountable for his actions, Al Bawaba News reported. Al Bili pointed out that no one is above the law, stressing on President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi's instructions to minister of interior, Major General Magdy Abdel Ghaffar to face such actions by law, in order to eliminate them. The FEP member explained that the president's instructions will ensure that any person within or affiliated to the ministry of interior, who thinks that he or she is above the law, will soon find out that he or she is greatly mistaken. However, he noted that in order to permanently and effectively eliminate such actions from taking place, some legislative amendments and laws to control the security role in the street are required. A policeman allegedly shot Thursday evening a taxi driver in the district over a dispute on the fare. The taxi driver died immediately at the crime scene. South Cairo's prosecution office ordered Friday the detention of the policeman accused of the murder and opened investigation into the incident.
