Residents of Al-Darb Al-Ahmar district in Cairo, who are currently gathering at Cairo Security Directorate, will hold Saturday a protest to denounce the killing of a taxi driver by a policeman. Security forces are deployed near the protest in an anticipation of any potential threat that might exist in case the crowd decided to cause riots, Al Bawaba News reported Friday. A policeman allegedly shot Thursday evening a taxi driver in the district over a dispute on the fare. The taxi driver died immediately at the crime scene. South Cairo's prosecution office ordered Friday the detention of the policeman accused of the murder and opened investigation into the incident.
