Egypt's winger Ahmed Elmohamady has received permission from Sunderland coach Martin O'Neill to stay at the Pharaohs camp and play in Saturday's friendly against Congo. “The Niger match was tougher than the one against Kenya's because the coaching staff want to gradually increase the difficulty of the matches ,” the former ENNPI player said. Egypt, under the leadership of American coach Bob Bradley, are currently at a training camp in the Qatari capital, Doha, to prepare for the qualifiers of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and 2014 World Cup. They smashed Kenya 5-0 and defeated Niger 1-0 in friendly games. “My coach [O'Neill ] said I must get back right after the match,” the 24-year-old told MENA. Sunderland are currently ninth of the English Premier League with 33 points. They have a tough clash against Liverpool on Saturday. Elmohamady is not a regular for Sunderland.
