Egypt winger Elmohamady praised for Brazil Alves' freeze Sunderland star Ahmed Elmohamady said he benefited from the Brazil friendly despite the defeat
Egypt winger Ahmed Elmohamady has said that he is satisfiedwith the friendly encounter with Brazil, claiming that he was able to stop dangerous opponent Daniel Alves. The Pharaohs delivered a humble performance against the star-less Selecao in the Qatari capital, Doha, and were defeated 2-0 courtesy of a doublescored by Valencia striker Jonas at the 39th and 59th minutes. “I played as a left winger and this is not my favourite position, but American coach Bob Bradley thought I was his best choice to stop Barcelona's Alves,” Sunderland defender Elmohamady said after the match. “I think I succeeded in my task and I am satisfied with the experience. “I am really happy about the good spirit of the team and good relations with my teammates,” the former ENPPI player added. The 24-year-old player has been praised by Egypt's new technical staff, under the leadership of former United States manager Bradley. “Alves is a key player in Brazil but we made him less dangerous by marking him with Elmohamady,” Bradley said. http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/26631.aspx
