Ahli have decided not to complete the signing of Syrian striker Abdul-Fattah Al-Agha although he earlier announced that the deal had gone through. "The main reason why we opted out of the deal is that he showed lack of commitment," an Ahli technical staff member, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told FilGoal.com. "We were infuriated when Al-Agha met with Zamalek's officials after reaching an initial agreement with Ahli." The 23-year-old said on Thursday he had penned a three-and-a-half year contract with the Red Devils, whereas he was expected to seal a move to Zamalek on the same day. "We still have three foreign players in the squad, and that's also prevented us from landing Al-Agha," the same source added. Want-out playmaker Amir Sayoud hasn't moved away from Ahli as planned, which leaves the Cairo club with the maximum number of foreigners on their roster. The Algerian youngster is keen on leaving as he has turned into an undesirable figure after the infamous clashes that followed Egypt's 1-0 loss to Algeria in November's World Cup decider. Several clubs have already approached the talented midfielder but Ahli turned them all down.
