Egypt defender Abdul-Zaher Al-Saqqa believes that his performance was good given that he was unusually deployed as a sweeper. "I was fielded right in front of the goalie instead of Hani Saied and I guess I produced a good display," he told Al-Jazeera after the game. The 35-year-old took up Saied's role to fill the void left by the injury of the Zamalek man. Al-Saqqa, who now has 111 Egypt caps, made way for Mohamed Zidan a couple of minutes from the hour mark. "We claimed all three points and that was our target," he added. "Many of Egypt's fringe players were given starting berths and all of them did great." Egypt Return Al-Saqqa, who has been plying his trade in Turkey for over 10 years, also revealed that he had decided to get back to the Egyptian Premier League. Last month the Eskisehirspor veteran received three offers from unnamed Egyptian top-flight sides. "It's time to get back to Egypt, I have personal reasons that oblige me to return and I have already informed Eskisehirspor of my plans," Al-Saqqa added. "I have received a set of bids but I'm yet to make up my mind." Al-Saqqa started his professional career at Mansoura in 1995, before joining Denizlispor three years later. Over the past decade Al-Saqqa excelled with several Turkish teams, including Genclerbirligi and Konyaspor.
