Tersana assistant coach Momen Abdul-Ghaffar said that a home win over Zamalek slipped through his side's fingers on Friday. The Egyptian Premier League match ended in a goalless draw that saw playmaker Amr Samaka came really close to scoring in the dying minutes. "Five more minutes would have been enough for us to beat Zamalek," Abdul-Ghaffar said after the game. "Samaka was exceptionally hapless after his missed chance, but he did a good job. So did his teammates." Zamalek defender Ahmed Magdi was dispossessed by Samaka, who reached the White Knights' box within seconds during the stoppage time. The Former Ahli man was about to net a last-gasp winner, but his low shot hit both posts before ending in Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed's palms. "Heidar (Abou-Bakr) had another golden chance, we would have defeated our opposition if it had been converted," added Abdul-Ghaffar. Praise The former Tersana captain heaped praise on his team, saying that all defenders competently fulfilled their duties. "The backline deterred the danger of Zamakek duo Shikabala and Gamal Hamza," he added. "We were better in the second half, but Ahed Abdul-Maguid's injury abysmally affected our consistency." Abdul-Maguid was introduced as a second-half substituted, but he suffered a severe cramp and got back to the bench in no time.
