Zamalek have contacted Wigan Athletic regarding the payment of a £500,000, which was part of the deal taking Amr Zaki to the Premiership club. Zaki, who's on loan at Wigan until the end of the season had a clause in his deal obliging the Latics to pay Zamalek £500,00 in case he scores ten goals. Zamalek are yet to receive the agreed fee despite the 25-year-old hitting his tenth of the season from a penalty kick against Bolton Wonderers on December 28th and. "We asked Wigan to send us the £500,000 as we need the money to support our January signings," Zamalek marketing director Khaled Ahmed Refaat told FilGoal.com. "Wigan assured that the fee will be sent to the English Football Association, who in turn will transfer the money to Zamalek via the Egyptian Football Association." Meanwhile, Refaat confirmed that defender Wissem Abdi will be the last player to leave Zamalek this season. "We don't want to offload anymore players after Abdi's departure, as we'll have 26 players in our list." A number of first team players including Ayman Abdul-Aziz, Mohamed Abdullah and keeper Mohamed Abdul-Monsef have earlier shown a desire to leave the White Knights in January.
