Werder Bremen record signing Carlos Alberto will be loaned to Sao Paolo after less than six months with the Bundesliga side. The Brazilian, who signed for 8M Euros last summer, has failed to make any impact at Westerstadion and will be loaned out in attempt to regain his fitness and form. "We discussed the options with Carlos and came to the conclusion that a loan move would be the best for all involved," general manager Klaus Allofs told the club's official site. "He would have another chance to try his luck in Bremen again in six months time." The 23-year-old, who won the UEFA Champions League with Porto in 2004, is also convinced that he needs a move after representing the Weser for just 45 minutes since July. "Considering how the last half year has panned out and all of the health problems which have caused me a lot of set-backs," he said. "I would like to get back to full fitness as quickly as possible. I think that will function best in the more familiar surroundings in Brazil where I can get some match practice with Sao Paulo." Alberto is the second European-based star to join Sao Paolo on loan, after the Brazilian side won the signature of Inter Milan striker Adriano last month. The former Fluminense man was involved in a training punch-up with Ivory Coast striker Boubacar Sanogo last year.
