The Egyptian FA has hit Ismaili and its players with heavy fines after the unsporting behavior that took place during and following their 4-0 defeat to Ahli in the Egyptian League, an FA official said Saturday. Ismaili was fined EGP 20,000 after their fans pelted Ahli players and coaching stuff with stones in protest over referee Ahmed Oada, spokesman Medhat Shalaby told reporters. Angry supporters also attacked buses carrying the Ahli fans to Cairo after the game finished. The club was also fined EGP 5,000 for delaying the second-half kick-off for ten minutes as they considered abandoning the game. Ismaili captain Mohamed Soliman 'Hommos' was banned for three matches and fined EGP 4,000 after he was sent-off during the same game. Egyptian international defender Ahmed Fathi was handed the same fine for entering the pitch after the game despite being banned. German manager Theo Buecker and football director Ashraf Khedr were fined EGP 5,000 for their offensive comments over the referees in the Egyptian T.V.
