Ismaili striker Ahmed Ali has been charged with violent conduct and suspended for one match for lashing out at an Ittihad player during Saturday's game. The Egyptian FA took action against the 23-year-old after he escaped punishment during the quarter-final match. Ali was caught by television cameras hitting Ittihad's Sayed Farid in the face, but referee Fahim Omar missed the incident. Subsequently, Ismaili's top scorer will miss Wednesday's semi-final clash with Harras Hodoud. In the same subject, Ismaili have been fined EGP 15,000 for their fans' taunts against referee Omar, while assistant manager Ashraf Khedr was suspended for protesting.
