AC Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko will be sidelined for up to four weeks with a knee injury, the Serie A club said on Monday. The Ukrainian star limped off the pitch after just eight minutes of his side's 3-2 victory over Parma in the Italian League on Sunday. "Shevchenko underwent an x-ray on his left knee this morning and the diagnosis is a sprain and stretching of the medial collateral ligament," Milan said in a statement. "The striker will not need an operation and is expected to be fit to play in 25 days." Shevchenko's injury is bad news for his national side who appear for the first time in the World Cup that kicks-off in Germany this summer. Ukraine play in Group H that also includes Spain and Arab sides Saudi Arabia and Tunisia.
