Alvaro Recoba stroke twice and dished out an assist to help Inter Milan beat Lazio 3-1 in their Serie A match that on Sunday at the San Siro. Shevchenko Meanwhile, an Andriy Shevchenko brace inspired AC Milan to thrash Udinese 4-0 at the Stadio Friuli. The talented Ukrainian striker opened the score for Milan in the 41st minute after finishing an inch-perfect into the net. Alberto Gilardino doubled their lead after connecting with a Costacurta pass and placing his shot past goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis on the hour-mark. Shevchenko scored his second goal and the team's third after sidefooting the ball into the far corner before Clarence Seedorf finished off an excellent team effort with a superb finish. Milan come in second with 64 points, six behind leaders Juventus, while Udinese are only two places away from the relegation zone with a tally of 28 points. In other matches, Chievo beat Siena 4-1, Fiorentina defeated Ascoli 3-1, Parma suffered a 2-1 defeat to Lecce, Empoli cruised 2-0 past Reggina, Sampdoria were beaten 2-0 by Palermo and Roma defeated Messina 2-0.
