Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said Wednesday the Rafah border crossing into Gaza has never been closed for a single day from the Egyptian side, supplying 80 per cent of humanitarian aid entering the territory during the ongoing war. During a press conference, Prime Minister Madbouly reiterated Egypt's firm rejection of the forced displacement of Palestinians and its commitment to preserving the Palestinian cause. "Egypt refuses any attempt to liquidate the Palestinian issue and will not allow the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza," he said. Since the outbreak of violence, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has been actively engaged in diplomatic efforts to achieve a ceasefire and political solution, meeting with international leaders and coordinating with partners including Qatar and the United States. Prime Minister Madbouly also highlighted Egypt's reconstruction plan for Gaza, which has been adopted by the Arab League and Islamic countries, emphasising the country's role in humanitarian support, including sheltering wounded Palestinians and their families. "Our efforts to provide aid and medical assistance will continue without interruption," Prime Minister Madbouly said, stressing Egypt's ongoing commitment to supporting Gaza amid the crisis.
