Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Thursday received a phone call from UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip and ongoing efforts by Egypt, in coordination with Qatar and the United States, to secure a ceasefire and deliver humanitarian aid. President Sisi expressed appreciation for the UK's positive stance on developments in the Palestinian issue and the crisis in Gaza. He reiterated Egypt's categorical rejection of any attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause or forcibly displace Palestinians from their land. Sisi also stressed the importance of translating current international support for the Arab-Islamic plan to rebuild Gaza into concrete steps that can begin immediately once a ceasefire is reached.
