Mohamed Salah scored a brilliant goal to help Basel clinch a 2-1 Swiss league victory over Lausanne away from home. Egypt star Salah brought the Swiss champs level six minutes from the interval, cancelling out Swiss midfielder's Salim Khelifi's 14th minute goal as defender Arlind Ajeti completed the comeback in the second half. Salah took his tally to three league goals this season with a delightful low shot from long range, crucially bringing Basel back into the game before half time. Salah, however, was substituted five minutes from regular time, unlike Egypt teammate Mohamed Elneny who played full 90 minutes after recuperating from a shoulder complaint. The Egypt duo has been recalled for Egypt's crucial World Cup qualifying playoff at Ghana on October 15. Basel cemented their position on top of the league table on 22 points, three ahead of Grasshoppers who have a game in hand.
