Egypt midfielder Mohamed Al-Nenni was forced off the pitch in the first half of Basel's Swiss league 1-1 away draw at Grasshoppers. Al-Nenni started for the second game running but was replaced by defender Taulant Xhaka in the 38th minute due to a shoulder injury after colliding with an opponent. Egypt teammate Mohamed Salah, who opened the Swiss champs league campaign with a goal in the 3-1 win over Aarau last week, was also substituted on 63 minutes by midfielder Stephan Andrist. Swiss defender Fabian Schar gave the visitors the lead on 21 minutes before Izet Hajrovic restored parity four minutes into the second half. Basel take on Lausanne Sport in the league next week.
