Mohamed Salah helped Basel see off bottom side Lausanne 2-0 in the Swiss Super League. The defending champions took a 32nd minute lead via a Fabian Schar penalty as Salah set up captain Marco Streller with the second late in the game. It was a terrific move by the duo, with Salah deceiving a defender before laying it off for the Switzerland striker to dispatch. Salah was taken off four minutes from the end, while compatriot Mohamed Elneny played the whole game. Basel remain joint-top with seven points from three as Grasshoppers lead on goal difference.
