Mohamed Salah set up a goal and was involved in another but Basel slumped to a 3-2 loss at Thun in the Swiss League on Sunday. The hosts took the lead through Anatole Ngamukol inside the opening five minutes before Fabian Frei restored parity in the 31nd minute following a fine team move involving Salah. Marco Streller then put the visitors in front as he latched on to a superlative through pass by the Egypt international seven minutes later but Gartenbau Wittwer pulled level on 63 minutes when Salah was dispossessed in his own half. Salah was substituted in the 76th minute as Ngamukol settled the game for his side when he netted the winner two minutes from the end. Basel missed out on moving second as they are now fourth on 30 points, four adrift of leaders Grasshoppers and three away from second-placed St. Gallen.
